How do I withdraw carbon units?
At any time you can withdraw your VCU from MyNativeForest by sending us a message at help@mynativeforest.com.
To withdraw a VCU you need to set up an individual New Zealand Emissions Trading Register Account.
By withdrawing your VCU we will be transferring you an NZU from our Emissions Trading Register Account to your Emissions Trading Register Account.
Once it has been withdrawn from our platform, you will own an NZU and will not be able to benefit from our native forest verification or the other benefits of our ecosystem and services.
How do I withdraw money from my account?
- Log in to MyNativeForest
- Go to Wallet > Withdraw
- Enter the amount you would like to withdraw from your remaining wallet amount (if you do not have a bank account added, you will need to add this before the next step)
- Click Withdraw
We estimate about three working days to process your withdrawal, depending on your bank, this could be shorter or longer.
Before withdrawing, you need to complete our identity verification process. This includes linking yourself to an identity document and verifying an identity document.
We will be in touch if we require more information.
If you have any questions, send us a message to help@mynativeforest.com
Link yourself to an identity document
This process is a biometric scan that helps us link the real you to your approved identity document.
You will need:
- An NZ Passport
- OR
- An NZ Drivers License
This process is handled with our NZ based partner Verifi. When you launch this process, you are directed to a hosted portal where you follow these steps:
- Take a photo of your face straight on
- Take a photo of your face at 45%
- Take a photo of the front of your license or passport identity page (this works best on a table top)
- Take a photo of the back of your license (this works best on a table top)
This then gives us a match percentage of your likeness and liveliness so we can confirm you are who your identity document says you are.
